Freya’s DIY Bday Invitation…

I was super busy last week that I couldn’t open my laptop and check my cellphone. I only attended to my phone when someone is calling or texting. I missed all my tasks from all my paying sites. Anyways, last week we gave Freya a pre-birthday bash and this is my DIY birthday invitation I made two weeks ago. It just so simple but I really really love it. It’s my first time to use CorelDraw after four years. While doing it, I kinda miss my job as a computer graphic designer/layout/artist. I wish I can go back to work soon. I’m hoping that this year is my year…

BTW, this is Freya’s birthday invitation. Just thought I’d share with you guys so I can get a constructive criticism

My cork board layout!

Yes finally my new layout is up after almost a month of making it. At first, I’ve been debating if I’m gonna make a photographic style just like this one (click this) but then later on I realized that I want a layout that has much space to put on my ads and other “bling-bling”. I’ve also wanted to make a layout that would fit in for a mommy blogger like me with baby colors, you know, stuff like that. Overall I like my new layout. It took me so much time to finish this because while I’m doing it I’m also searching for tutorials or new techniques to make things what I want it to be. I know graphic designing and web designing are evolving in such a short time so all the commands I’ve known in Adobe Photoshop might now be obsolete. I’m just so proud with what I have come up coz I’ve learned new techniques on how to displace image and how to morph in Photoshop in just a minute coz I’m lazy, that’s why LOL , what I mean is that I’m too lazy to draw my graphics manually. So I search for solutions to make it easy for me. For you to know, I’m a great procrastinator

I enhanced everything except for the cork board, its not totally mine. BTW, I used a premade layout and modified it. One thing that made me wonder for a week is the footer of this layout. It was encrypted, I can read the code so I need to make it from scratch, thats what took my time. So what do you think guys? Is it heavy on the eyes? coz I find it a little heavy. Tell me if my blog loads too slow so I can find away to edit all the images.

Yes, I’m into scrapping again because I have a project for our little Freya. I think this could be start to making more digital scrap. It’s really fun when you know exactly what to scrap. By the way, I want to make a “watch me grow” for Freya all made by digital scrapping.

P.S. My eldest is now healthy again thanks to God. I can’t take it seeing my kids unhappy and sad because they’re sick.

Sinks that I like…

How I wish that our unit have pedestal sinks. I’m annoyed with what we are using right now because it is too small and the cabinet of it is useless. It makes our bathroom smaller. The Pedestal sinks is much convenient and space saver not to mention that it looks more elegant than those other type of sinks. This kind of sink is on my list if ever we can have our own house. I just love this kind of sinks…

I hope the management of this apartment would think of choosing pedestal sinks if they get a chance of renovating this building.

Fiberglass columns for your house!

Some houses in the suburb area are astonishingly beautiful. Specially those houses that are big and have fiberglass columns. They look like castles to me. Everytime we passed by houses like that I can’t stop gazing on it and take pictures of it. I sometimes day dream on having a big house with lots of detailed architecture. But on our case having our own house is what we really dream of. Well, if we win the lottery I will sure build a house that will look like a castle and put those artistically made fiberglass columns.

Labor of Love…

P.S. This entry had been drafted for 3 weeks now and I’ve decided to post it because I promised some of you that I will post a picture of my 8 months tummy. I’m still very busy right now, there’s still so much things that needs to be organized in our new apartment. So yeah hope to catch up with you soon…

Last weekend I was so friggin bored so I’ve decided to take a picture of my bare naked preggy body. A little art of capturing my huge tummy as a memory of being pregnant. It is my first bare preggy picture. I don’t really have a preggy picture on my past pregnancies so that’s why I came up with this idea. We don’t know, maybe this would be my last pregnancy right? So allow me to share this simple art of a pregnant woman titled “Labor of Love…” – Its a common quote of pregnancy. It maybe an unwanted pregnancy but still it is a labor of love that comes with a joyous memories that would never fade away… here it is:

My tummy on the picture was 8 months and it was taken by me last week using my Kodak z710 with my tripod. I manipulated it on photoshop to give it a little touch of art. I’m planning to put it on a big frame so that I can display it on our kids rooms surrounded with my little angels pictures. So what do you think? Is it worth to spend money on a big frame for it or not?

I got this idea from Miss Joy of Pinay.me.uk I had so much fun doing these LOL aliw eh! I know that we can do this kind of stuff in Photoshop but doing this on Magmypic.com is more easier. So go! go! make one for yourself I know you’ll like it too hehehe

Red Theme…

Since Valentine’s day is coming I’m naming this theme as Red theme or in Joy and Sorrow. The frontpage and single page are done but all the pages still needs work. So please don’t visit it yet because they are all messed up.
