I’ve been struggling to do my exercises and diet routine because of no self discipline. In fairness to myself, I’m a busy mom as well. As you notice in my FB that I keep posting all my kids daily activities. It’s not to brag or show off how busy am I but to just post it there and let my family and friends know what I’ve been doing at that day. You know that feeling when the internet is being a part of your life and unconsciously you keep posting everything you do? That’s what I’ve been feeling every day. Those netizen people surely will understand what I’m trying to say here. Just to let you know, I’ve been online since 1998. Some of you also know that I met my husband through an online chat program. So there…
Anyway, back to my daily schedule. Almost everyday I’m always not home. So at the end of the day I get tired and get lazy. I’m not a morning person too. I always have a problem getting up early in the morning. I think the main reason for that is maybe because my husband always gets home late from work. He usually comes home from work around 12 midnight. It is also our habit to watch TV series before going to sleep. We go to bed around 2:30 in the morning and already up by 7:30 to help our kids get ready for school and by 8:30 we walk them to school. When I’m back from taking the kids to school, I feel so tired and sleepy so instead of going out to run or go to the gym, I end up crawling back to bed and sleep until 11am. That being said, I wasted almost 1 hour of my precious time. I could have use it to workout.
My husband and I have been trying to change this kind of routine. We want to sleep early and wake up feeling fresh and good. Every timeĀ I encounter a website about determination and motivation like Tim Feriss‘ website, it wakes me up to realize that if I really want to lose weight I should work it out. I mean you know not just for a week or a month but for the rest of my life. I want to be physically/spiritually strong. Perhaps I can successfully do it if I have proper guidelines. When I heard about Tim Feriss’ book and read the people’s good comment about it, boom! This is what I need, I said to myself. I’m curious, though, if 4 hour body work out is about getting 4 hours exercise everyday. I know, I’m taking it literally. Well, it’s for me to find out what the book really is all bout.
