Photo: Dance the little gym way!

I enrolled my kids to a gymnastic school during the last week of June. I chose the program where my two daughters could learn ballet dancing with combination of gymnastics. At first, we tried out their introductory class and my girls loved everything about the school including all the staff. They are kid friendly. Their session consist of 15mins tap dancing, 15mins ballet dancing and the remaining 30mins is for gymnastic. Every week is also a different theme. They did Ninja theme, safari, and my favorite mermaids and pirates. They actually have a great program for kids. Time flies, their class ended last week. Eventhough they have a great program I’m not going to enroll my girls for their Fall semester cos I found a dance school near our place. I can walk there if I want to. My eldest does not want to leave The Little Gym but I told her, “We have to try the other schools. You might also like it if not then I’ll send you back to The Little Gym”. Yuna didn’t say anything it’s like she’s telling me, Ok! I couldn’t disagree anyway… More photos in my FB. I also uploaded a couple of videos in my youtube account. You guys can take a look if you want here

This guest post from Doris Dillon

Once of the things I love most about renovating old houses is how creative I get to get doing so. I love picking out paint colors that were appropriate at the time the house was built and scouring the web for things like old door knobs, faucets, and other knick nacks. I think it’s so much fun to take a house from bare bones to a fully decorated and restored piece of art. I found my latest place up in the mountains and I’ve had a blast turning it back into what it once was. I went to WWW.shopelectricityratestexas.COM to make sure our air costs were down since it isn’t very well insulated and hired some local contractors who seem to have done a lot of work on old Victorians like this one. They did an amazing job and I like the finished product so much I think I’m going to live in it rather than putting it on the market like I normally do to see who wants to buy at any given time!

Video: She’s finally biking on her own!

Today was the 2nd attempt for her to ride a bike and she finally did it! I’m surprised cos she is the type of kid who’s always scared to fall or hurt herself. The bike seat is too high for her though so we are still teaching her different ways to get on the bike by herself.

Photo: Latest Camwhoring (^_^)/

This photo was taken after completing the 3-day diet. You can also check all my post HERE of what I’ve been eating with this diet. Anyway, did I lose weight already? Hehehe. I think yes but I know I need to lose more weight. Let’s see how far I could go with this diet. I’m also planning to enroll at the neighboring gym again. I also ask hubby to reschedule one of his off day again on Thurdays so I can go back to my Zumba class. I miss all my Zumbamates.

My goal this year is to keep running and do all the cardio exercises until the Winter ends. I want to join several running race next year. In God’s will I know I can do it. Even hubby is determined to keep running and be physically fit.

He even told me that he wants to make a blog to record all his runnings and weighs. He said he’s going to name his blog “The Running Smoker” ^_^x

My 1st time to celebtrate!

For so many reasons, I never celebrated my birthday eversince I was 2. Yes, two years old! I remember before that I mentioned it in one of my entries here that I don’t celebrate my birthday. I dont get parties. I dont blow candles on cakes. I’m just not used to it. My parents weren’t fortunate enough to give bday parties for the rest of my childhood. However, I’m always grateful for another year to live. My mom used to bring me to church and light a candle as a way of saying thank you to our God. Last May 29, I decided to have a simple party with our small circle of friends here in Chicago. I got to blew my bday cake candle. I baked my own cake, by the way. I will post the recipe and photos of my cake next time. I had sooo much fun on my party. Our friends came over and brought some food, lotsa beers. And I was so thankful that one of our friend let us borrow their Magic Sing. Of course, videoke is always present in every Filipino gathering. I’m so thankful to my ever so loving husband for always being there for me and for my kids. To always understand all my mood swings. I love you so much Luvski! *smooches*

I admit it. I have a serious crush on Franny the Nanny. I can’t get enough of Franny or the show The Nanny. I watch every episode on my satellite TV, that I got after seeing these best promotions on awesome tv programming. Not only is Franny gorgeous, she is extremely funny.

The show the Nanny is about a wealthy widower, Maxwell, that hires a nanny to take care of his home and his children. It is clear from the beginning that the two share feelings for each other but they try to fight them. The Franny means well she often causes crazy situations to happen that she has to desperately try to fix by the end of the show.

Niles is the wise-cracking butler in the show. He often is caught spying on anybody in the house and often times helps Franny with any problems that she may have. Chastity Babcock is the assistant to Maxwell and doesn’t like Niles or Franny. Each episode usually has Chastity bumping heads with either Niles or Franny, and sometimes both.

Each and every episode is truly funny. Franny’s mother often makes an appearance and she is quite a funny character herself. But as for me, I will always love the show for Franny the Nanny.

Freya’s 3rd Birthday!

Sometime in April we celebrated our youngest’s 3rd birthday. It was just so simple. We held the party at Chuck E. Cheese’s. We invited all our friends here in Chicago although some weren’t able to come because they were working. It was Friday that we gave her a pre-birthday bash. At first, I wasn’t really planning for a party cos I don’t want to get exhausted for too much budgeting :pick:  but Freya saw the magazine that talks all about birthday supplies and stuff. We always get that magazine every year. After that she won’t stop talking about her birthday and she wanted to have a party. You know… we couldn’t say no to our children that’s why I have no choice but to grant her wish. After all, it’s what really matters, to make our children feel very special on their special day.

In today’s living, rehabilitation is just normal whether a person is in a sort of addiction or personal trauma experience.

Lately, the headline news are about the celebrities who are being carried in rehab institution. So it makes me a bit curious how these people being treated inside a rehab center.

I happened to read some reviews about a certain Orchid Recovery Center which is known to be unique in a way because they are solely specialize in women needs. Also Orchid Women’s Recovery Center help their patients in gaining back their self-esteem, emotional well-being and spiritual being. This kind of recovery info can help an ordinary person to understand how a person is treated while in a rehabilitation.

Homebaked German Chocolate with buttercream Icing

Like I said from my previous entry that our little smarty preschooler had a birthday bash 5 days ago. As part of it, I baked her a German Chocolate cake covered with Buttercream Icing. At first I was hesitant to put a non-chocolate frosting on it cos I’m not sure if the taste will work fine. But still I took the risk and went for it. My DH was my judge and he said it tasted really good. A lot better than those regular birthday cakes :grin1:

Here’s a brief description about German Chocolate Cake pasted from Wiki. – German chocolate cake is a layered chocolate cake filled and topped with a coconut-pecan frosting. Sweet baking chocolate is traditionally used for the chocolate flavor in the actual cake, but few recipes call for it today. The filling and/or topping is a caramel made with egg yolks and evaporated milk; once the caramel is cooked, coconut and pecans are stirred in. Occasionally, a chocolate frosting is spread on the sides of the cake and piped around the circumference of the layers to hold in the filling.

Freya’s DIY Bday Invitation…

I was super busy last week that I couldn’t open my laptop and check my cellphone. I only attended to my phone when someone is calling or texting. I missed all my tasks from all my paying sites. Anyways, last week we gave Freya a pre-birthday bash and this is my DIY birthday invitation I made two weeks ago. It just so simple but I really really love it. It’s my first time to use CorelDraw after four years. While doing it, I kinda miss my job as a computer graphic designer/layout/artist. I wish I can go back to work soon. I’m hoping that this year is my year…

BTW, this is Freya’s birthday invitation. Just thought I’d share with you guys so I can get a constructive criticism
