Well, I know I haven’t mentioned it here in my blog that our little Freya has started school already as Pre-K. Today is her 2nd week of school.  This morning, the moment we entered her classroom, she suddenly cried and she wants me to stay and if I cant stay she wants to go home with me. I stayed in their room for about 20mins and after they had breakfast the teacher told me that I have to go. She cried so hard while I’m heading out the door. It melts my heart to hear her cry from outside of the room that I wanna go back and take her home instead. I couldn’t give in to my motherly emotions cos she’ll have to learn that the world includes hellos and goodbyes!

When it was time to pick her up, I was at the waiting area 10 mins early. I want to assure her that I’m really coming back for her. When she came out, she went straight to the parents’ waiting area and tried to find me. She spotted me with a big smile on her face. Oh, how I love that smile!

This is our little conversation while walking home…

Me: How’s your day at school Freya?
Freya: I stopped crying.
Me: You did? That’s good. So are you still going back to school tomorrow?
Freya: again? Why do I have to go to school everyday? I don’t like school. I don’t like it there.
Me: Why? I thought you already have 4 friends and you said you like boys now.
Freya: I dont like Ms Lopez. I want a different teacher.
Me: Why you dont like her? She seems to be really nice. Is she mean? Did she get mad at you?
Freya: No, she didn’t get mad. But she has very dark skin.
Me: Baffled and thinking what to say @_@

I told her though that it’s not nice to think like that. If her teacher finds out about it, it will hurt her feelings. Good thing she never says anything offensive to Ms. Lopez. She still keep asking for the teacher she met when we enrolled her last April. The one that first interviewed her. Unfortunately, that teacher is no longer working there.

The party was a success I invited as much children as I can cos for me more children means more fun for the birthday celebrant. That day Freya was so happy. She really loved her Dora Princess dress and shoes that she wore courtesy of her grandfather from Las Vegas. Before the day of the party, she kept trying on her dress. She couldn’t wait to wear her outfit. She also liked her Dora cake a lot that I made for her. Actually, I thought about giving her a Dora themed party but our place is too small to hold a party and like I said I don’t want to get exhausted from planning too much. So our best choice was Chuck E. Cheese’s which is not bad at all. The most important thing is everyone had a blast including the celebrant, of course! Why Friday? because my kids has Girl Scout meeting every Saturday where by the way, she held a 2nd birthday party. GS celebrated two occasions that time one was a shower party for one of the GS leader and for Freya. Isn’t that great?

To our dearest Freya, always remember that we always love both you and Ate Yuna. We will always love you and your big sister and we will try our best to give both of you the best in life. We can see signs of brilliance towards you. We want you to know that you always make us smile even when you always have little accidents at home by always being silly. We always laugh at your wittiness. When you try to trick us, instead of getting mad or while getting mad at you we end up laughing  at you cos you are a very silly girl. A very observant and thinker. You little piggy! For everyone of you, yes she loves to be called piggy and fat. She’s the only person I know that loves to be called FAT .  We love you so much Freya from Ate, Mommy and Daddy.

Every six months we are required to visit her pedia and today is her schedule. Everything is OK with our little Freya. According to her doctor, she’s growing massively and even praised her for not wearing diaper anymore. The doctor did a couple of things to her like putting fluoride varnish on her teeth, took some blood for another Lead test and Flu mist. Flu mist is a nasal spray so no poking therefore no crying baby. Although she cried when it’s our turn because she didn’t like that I woke her up while in deep sleep. All through out our stay in the room she was grumpy. I even had a hard time putting the clinic dress on her. She also didn’t talk to her pedia but despite all of these I’m glad they finished everything they need to do with her. The next time we go back to Children’s Memorial Hospital is when she is 3 yrs old. I like that clinic. All the staff are nice and her pedia is so friendly and extra nice especially to my child. And as always Freya has a new book from her pedia

Now where do I begin with their activities? Kids had lots of activities and I am happy about them though it was very exhausting in my part. I’m gonna start it by dates. Warning: Loads of photos :pick:

Oct 29 – Friday: Yuna started her Halloween activities at their school before the weekend. They had a little Halloween party inside their classroom. Children were sharing their own treats with one another. Of course, I took lots of photos and Yuna got lots of candies :hihi:

Oct 30 – Saturday: Halloween at Girl Scout meeting. They read different books with stories about Halloween stuff. They also painted pumpkins. Pumpkin painting was the most fun part. Yuna painted her very 1st pumpkin activity. Sure it was messy but she had lots of fun. She made a pink bow and put it on the top of her pumpkin. Her pumpkin looks like a vampire. I think that was really her idea to make a vampire pumpkin. Freya painted her pumpkin too with my help, of course. By the way, Freya isn’t really part of the Girl Scout. I took her with me cos no ones gonna watch over her :shy2:

Oct 31 – Sunday Morning: Around 10:30 in the morning we went to a Halloween party at my friend’s work. It’s just 2 blocks away from our home so we accepted the invitation. Kids had fun too. The party had some games for the kids and lots of dancing and of course they got plenty of very good quality treats. That was awesome! I, myself enjoyed taking photos and video of them :grin1:

Oct 31 – Sunday Afternoon: Late afternoon we waited for Daddy to come home from his work and went trick-o-treating around the neighborhood. We walked a couple of blocks and then went home. We can no longer stand the cold that’s why we went home early. Good thing I let them use the small bucket from the McDonald’s happy meal. Their buckets became full right away. Am pretty sure if they brought the big pumpkin buckets they wouldn’t go home until the buckets are full :dizzy: Not all the houses gave an effort on decorating their front yard but few of them did a great job! That’s my fave part anticipating the Halloween decorations. I love looking at each houses with fascinating decorations. We live in a building at the corner of the main street so we don’t have a front yard to decorate :shy2:

I had no costume so I just put makeup and made it messy just to look like a dead person. Hubby had no costume too. According to him he doesn’t feel the spirit of Halloween this year That’s it guys hope you had a wonderful Halloween as well. Can’t wait to see your Halloween and Undas blog entries. I’ll upload all the photos in my facebook account since that’s where I upload most of my photos now :grin1:

Watch these videos I made and witness how happy the kids were during Yuna’s birthday bash. I was having fun while making these videos. As you know, I like doing this kind of stuff. It feels like it is part of me ever since and it will be forever. I made these videos without using any automated theme that’s why it took me forever

My eldest is now 7 years old. We gave her a belated birthday bash at Pump It Up Chicago last August 29th. The day before her birthday party, I can see it in her eyes that she was stoked. She won’t stop saying “Mom, I’m so excited for tomorrow”. She even got up earlier than us. She took a bath and donned her party outfit by herself. It always makes me happy to see my kids smiling. I always have this in mind that I’m going to make my kids’s childhood a memorable one with lots of fun that they can share with their friends when they become adult or to share with their own kids how happy they were. It is also important to me to record every memories I have with my own family so when hubby and I grow old we have something to look back. I just wish that Youtube is still online by the time we reach a very old age, hahaha! After the party, my eldest was very thankful. Until now, she’s still grateful. When she prays at night she doesn’t forget to say thank you to God for having a wonderful birthday bash. Yuna is so sweet, very nice and a grateful young lady.

I’ve prepared her party 3 months before the month of August. I think I’ve searched all the corner of the world wide web just to look for ideas and to see the easiest preparation ever with, of course, a reasonable price. I’m so glad that I’ve stumbled upon Pump It Up Chicago‘s website. I’m so lucky to see that they have great deals during the summer that is not so stressful to our dear wallet LOL. I chose their ULTIMATE SUMMER WEEKEND COZY package which includes 2 slices of pizza, a beverage, a goodie bag, a balloon for each kid. With this package I’d able to invite 15 kids. Though that day 5 kids weren’t able to come but we still had fun. Their staff were friendly. They’ve prepared everything from food to decorations. They also set up the party room with style. They even provide two staff with us inside their arena to assist the kids. I guess I can say that this is the most stress-free birthday preparation I’ve ever plan. I didn’t fret on the day of the party itself. We actually experienced what their service is all about. What I like the most about this place is your party is totally private.

Pump It Up of Chicago is “The Inflatable Party Zone” in Cook County. Our private indoor arenas are filled with gigantic inflatable bounce houses, slides, obstacle courses and more. Hosting a party at Pump It Up of Chicago is the easiest party you will ever plan. Our staff takes care of everything so you can relax and enjoy your kid’s birthday party too! Party options include food, beverages, ice cream cake, and more. All you have to do is coordinate a group of kids who want to have a jumping party, we will do the rest.

I highly recommend this place to our friends. I’m also submitting this post to “Mommy Moment” group because I think it suits the theme for this week because we were giddy young  people at the party. teehee!

My husband got a part time job in the US Census and they’ve told them to watch out to these kind of people. They’ve taught them how to get information about Illinois sex offenders. I googled it myself a while ago and then I found 44 offenders living around our area. I was like WHAT?? Deep within me, I freaked out. I know I’m over reacting but considering that I have two daughters, why not? Imagine, there are 44 sex offenders in our neighborhood. Now I need 360 eyesight LOLZ. I’m thankful about this movie cos it gives me additional awareness of being not careless or neglectful to my kids. I’ll never know, it might happen to my own kids and of course I won’t let it. There’s no way I would let them go to school by themselves even if they’re grown ups. I won’t let it happen to them just like what happened to Susie in this movie. Susie went to school by herself everyday until that tremendous incident came. Her parents just went easy on her on whatever decisions she made. Just today, I kept repeating myself telling Yuna (my eldest)  not to talk to strangers at all regardless of whatever circumstances. Even if they look kind and say nice things, still, never talk to strangers. I also told her, if someone talks to her after school, making up stories about how they’re the one whose supposed to pick her up cos her parents cant, she needs to ask the teacher to call us first and verify before she can go with whoever it is. Sorry that this entry is too “MOMMY”. Now I know how it feels… now I know why my mom scolded me before whenever I came home late and if I cant call when I’m late. Now I feel the need to say sorry to my mama for being so pigheaded back in the days. Sorry mama. I miss you

I just found out that this entry is perfect for the next ‘Mommy Moments’ theme but I want to post this right now. I can’t help my emotion. I want to write it down the moment I feel it.

My kids still wearing their winter jacket sometimes cos weather here in Chicago is crazy. It can be very cold even if we dont live in the mountain, even though it's almost summer. Yeah crazy like that.
