This afternoon I baked my first ever cake. Lots of mistakes since this is my 1st time. My sponge cake is a little stiff because I battered it the wrong direction. I mixed the white eggs with sifted flour and baking powder instead of mixing it to eggs yolks first. I even had a hard time beating all the ingredients. Good thing my husband didn’t leave for work yet so I asked him to mix the ingredients for me. Another mistake is that I did not mix very well my home made strawberry whipped cream that made the cream a little watery. That’s what happens if you’re trying to be a know-it-all baker 
Also, the MM fondant that I used to cover the cake was so thin that I can see the cake through it. Oh well, still my cake taste good according to my kids 
Good move that I followed my friend and my hubby suggestion to first practice baking before finalizing the cake that I want to make for Freya’s 2nd birthday. Probably by that time I can make my cake close to perfection 
I had so much fun making the cake especially when decorating it. This definitely isn’t my first cake to bake, my hands will touch more dough in the future

nice cake! i also tried to bake before.. but not a cake… just a cupcake.. haha.. i baked it with my cousin.. and the taste? uhhmm… so urgghh! because the ingredients i used were just flour, eggs, sugar and water.. haha.. if i know that the outcome won’t be awesome, i should have cooked a pancake instead.. haha
